MOBILE SCHOOL

The decline in the sustainable livelihoods from traditional employment sources in the villages and the unprecedented increase in the construction activity in the cities has created a large pool of migratory workers. Children in such families are not able to go to the regular schools. SMILE schools cater to these children by bringing non-formal education to their doorsteps.

The focus of the SMILE schools is to provide basic education to these deprived children through a creative and interactive curriculum with the help of motivated and dedicated teachers. Once the children acquire functional literacy they will be encouraged to move to regular schools and their growth will be monitored for a few years.

As part of getting bright children admitted to regular schools, we encourage volunteers to Adopt a Child Educationally and serve as a bridge in the overall progress of the Child.

HEALTH CAMPS

We undertake regular Health Camps in the Communities where we open SMILE Schools. In this way, the whole community is benefited. We have Doctors associated with us who lead these programs.

REHABILITATION CAMPS

We underatke Rehabilitation Camps for Street Children who have run away from home. With the help of expert trainers, we conduct counselling sessions with these kids and encourage them to return to their homes and lead a regular life. The rehabilitation Camps last for about One Month.

SUPPORT TO INSTITUTIONS (child shelter, old-age homes)

We provide necessary support to other associated institutions on need basis. Our areas of focus mostly revolve around Children and Old people.

FUN WITH CHILDREN

Along with Studies, we encourage other activities like Art and Craft, Sports, Singing and Dancing at SMILE Schools. This is usually taken up by visiting Volunteers on Weekends. We also conduct 4-5 Annual Outings for the kids of SMILE School to give them much needed FUN and better exposure in life.
